Default 3M Fastbond Neutral
Hello everyone I was wondering if those of you with drum wrapping experience could help me? I’ve got about 3 5-piece kits that I want to wrap and was wondering if a gallon of fastbond would be enough? I’ve never used the stuff (or wrapped drums for that matter) but have read enough to know that everyone swears by this stuff as being the best. I need to place an order and I’m just not sure of the amount that I would need.
Thanks to anyone who could advise me on this.

Hello Pratt!

Looking at information about this adhesive at Precision Drum Company, they state that a quart "will cover a five piece kit or more"l. So based on that quantity, a gallon would be good for a least four 5-pc kits. It might also depends on the size of the drums. Standard depth toms and bass drums would use a bit less glue than power size toms and deep bass drums. Hope this helps!

Yes, I will. It'll be awhile though. I've got quite a bit to get done.
I've never wrapped anything but have read about other people's projects and problems they've encountered (filling holes, removing/installing badges etc). I've been building a soundproof room the last year and a bit and my drums have been sitting there. Hopefully all goes well.
Thanks again Mark.
