I seen a page I can't find now that you may have uploaded some catolog scans of Ludwig snare catologs of many years. I see the page from 1980 and it looks like a page that would have original part numbers of some snare wires. Im looking for exact part number and untimately the original wires that went on an Acrolite from 1980-1982 or so....I was gifted a mint condition Acrolite that shows a rounded point BO badge that does not have the black outline around the serial number which is 211Xxxx. This Acrolite has the 12 strand wires with the plastic ends on it but I think it was only came with 20 strand wires. I almost remember the 20 strand wires on the one I had back then had the plastic ends also but im unsure. I really want to get this drum officially back to how it came out of the box back when it was new. I just cant make out the writting on the scanned page you had posted that showed some part numbers for the wires. Thanks in advance for a reply.

Some how have my post isnt showing....
anyways my serial number is 211xxxx which should bring it back I think to 1980-1982 which is about when I had my first experience with the Acrolite and loved it but like an idiot let it go. Now that I have one in awesome condition I would like to have it setup just like it came out of the box back then. If you had a better scan of the 1980 catolog page I could make out the snare wires part number section and get a possible original wires part number. Help a guy out?
I hope this reads correctly. The forum has some quirks trying write this on my phone. Some of what I am righting doesnt post completely.
I've attached some catalog images from the 1980 Ludwig product catalog (the snare specific catalog doesn't show the Acro).
The #404 5"x14" Acro had the 20-wire snare that you remember and the snare part number is #1935.
You are the man! Awesome! Thanks man! This gonna be such a great looking Acrolite to shelf and pass down...the ole man that blessed me with it now says he thinks he also has the original case and stand for it too! It has a Rocker Coated head on top and a no name on the bottom. I think I found an old logo Ludwig coated head on line I can get. This thing is so clean and wear free its amazing.
Glad I could help, and that you found all the other items too!
Not sure if you're buying a used/vintage Ludwig head, but the new Ludwig heads will sound great on that drum, which can be order from a bunch of different on-line retailers if your local store doesn't carry them.
Im trying to get the drum back to 100% original out of the box correct since the shell and hardward is virtually mint condition.
After that i can keep the OEM heads and wires, stand and case to the side and put PureSound Twisted wires with Renaisance heads on it and play it. Or put the OEM heads and wires on it and put it up in safe keeping to pass down for son or future grand children. I just know if I wait to find the OEM wires and heads at a later date they may be gone forever.
