I'm in need of some information on what to look for in the correct cymbal/stands and other hardware that would make my '78 Stainless set complete. (pic in previous post)
Also I'm finding that the tom mounts are slipping, any suggestions? |

At the top of the page, under partner sites,...go to vintage drum guides, click on Ludwig, go to 1980 catalogue and you`ll find the QuadraPlus listed with all it`s accessories !! Looks to be Hercules !!

Here`s a pic of my Hercules B/O cymbal stand that`s the same as your kit should have, (I believe) !!

When I asked about it here, the guys "in the know" told me they were made from 78/84 and are avalible online all the time. The base of the stands are the same, the boom arms have different types depending on what you`re holding !! The thick boom arm needs the large clamp on top of the base to close and hold tight properly, the small diameter boom arm needs the smaller clamp on top to hold tight. The tops are all interchangeable with the bases !! They can be identified by the large black plastic turnning keys.

Your Hi Hat should be model #1131 (common)
Your Pedal should be the 201 Speed King (common) Your tom tom holders should be Double Clip-Lok type. The ones` in your photo seem to be the kind on the SS Pro Beat drum series from 1980 !! Maybe why yours are slipping, they`re similar but different model #s I got this info from the catalogues and there are far more knowlegable guys on this site about Ludwig drums than I. Maybe one will chime in and contribute !!
