These cleaned up nicely. Found a 14x14 to match too. Thanks Mitch!

Great pictures! It's obvious we have a soft spot for our vintage MIJ beauties!

My pleasure! In fact you have the 14X14 FT not visible in the pic I posted. You can just see it in this new one...

This Ralston kit was the first MIJ kit I purchased
which by my trying to research them and finding this and other forums
is what got me bitten pretty deep with the MIJ drum bug

(the snare is a Decca)

shown before being completed with tom mounting hardware and some really hard to find tension rods

These are the MIJ kits I currently own. Late 60s Yamaha, 70s Pearl Crystal Beat, 1983 Pearl BLX (bought in 1992 and heavily gigged and recorded) and an early 70s Yamaha with Tama floor tom which is my pub gig kit. There have been plenty of others come and go as well.

Here are the ones I still own. The blue one is special, bought it on the day of my dads funeral, I know sounds stupid but the service was short and private. After lunch the family visited for a while then broke up. I needed something to clear my mind and I knew dad would want me to go look at these drums, so I did, and bought them.
