I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone can help out. I play in a KISS tribute band that recreates the KISS Alive! album word for word and note for note. All the gear is vintage and correct for the period. Except for my kit. I can't find the kit Peter Criss played on the Alive! tour. All concert toms in a pearlescent finish ranging from 8" - 16" with 2 - 18" floor toms and a 22" kick. Any assistance or leads of any kind would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! |

Here is the best resource on the web.
http://users.tpg.com.au/adsle4l5/pet...rums/index.htm Peter had two "Alive" sets the first pearlescent was used in a promo it was basically a five piece kit that they later added a full set (6"-15")of concert toms to. The second kit was the same but with a custom disco ball wrap that was made of small mirrors on fabric. Other KISS tribute bands have just bought a set of shells and the generic Pearl style "coffin lugs" and built a kit instead of hunting down original Pearl wood/fiberglass drums. I like his original Ludwig kit the best 12/13/14/15 toms 16/18 floortoms 24 bass drum in silver sparkle.

Thanks clubdate64 for that link. I was a Peter Criss fan, and I appreciate getting caught up in the history of his sets. Cool stuff!
