hello! i can't figure it out what makers mark is this on a crash/ride 18"? Anyone owns similar or has some info, please let me know.

Check this out...Your stamp looks like the fourth one down from the top left...It`s hard to make out what it says though...Maybe another member will chime in...

Well spotted grantro. I think that says "Red Sound". One of the many Italian UFIP brands.
The wiki entry https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFIP says Red Sound is a discontinued UFIP series, but gives no reference. I presume the info comes from Pinksterboer's The Cymbal Book on page 166. Pinksterboer says Red Sound was a low budget series which were around prior to the Kashians, and the Kashians were a B8 line from the 1980s. So I guess that would mean the Red Sound series is 1970s, although Pinksterboer isn't explicit about what material the Red Sound series is made from. Last edited by zenstat; 12-03-2015 at 02:53 PM. |
