Hi guys,
I found this Vintage Meinl Meteor ride on the net, it's 22 inch, and I was just wondering if anyone could give me more information about it. You can find pictures in this link: http://www.2dehands.be/muziek/muziek...273551557.html ps: non native english speaker, sorry! |

![]() ![]() From the quick search I just did, it looks like the Meteor is an entry level line of cymbal...Possibly brass? I`m sure someone will be along shortly to give more info... Cheers

I had a Meinl 20" ride that came with a Century kit I bought when I was about 19 (30 years ago!). Looked like it was punched out rather than spun. Sounded great though, especially for jazz and swing. Ended up being totally destroyed after I lent it to a mate who was running a rehearsal studio out of his warehouse flat and a bunch of metal bands used it. I say "used", but I actually mean "thrashed and pummelled within an inch of it's life"! Wish I still had it, such a nice cymbal. So much better than the kit it came with...

The Meinl Meteor cymbal pictured in the ad is a lower line (beginner-intermediate level) cymbal with a high nickel-silver content. Not the worst cymbal I've ever played and heard but not up to the standards of today's high end production Meinl cymbals.
