Default So what's special about this Dyna?
Now, I thought I knew a little about Dyna's, but I must be missing something here. Unless Ploughman, our Big R authority, says that this is some rare chrome-over-gold shell, how did this sell for $700? This sale is now making me consider selling my near-mint 6.5 script Dyna.

My guess is bidding war. Had 23 bids, and you get two guys who really want it. The desire to win takes over the voice of reason saying " too much " Who knows.

With that rusty hoop and no snare frame, the drum is worth about $100. Makes no sense.

Must have been a shill bidder in there.....

I really think it was just a bidding frenzy and people got caught up in it! I saw this drum and thought WTF?!! While it is a 6.5", I still don't think that's enough to warrant the final price. Really scratching my head on this one!

Wonder what that bidder with a bidding history of 1 is doing there. I always am skeptical of auctions where there's a low bidder, especially when that low bidder doesn't win but comes oh so close. # of bids is another red flag to me. Could be legit; we'll never know.

Yep...looks like the cat with 1 transaction put in four bids and was the pusher.....he would have wound up winning (not that he wanted to) had his last bid of $700 not been beaten by a bid of $700 as well, but entered a few hours earlier on the 21st by the winner.
