Gretsch question
Hello VDF community, I have just purchased my first set of round badge drums. It’s a 2-piece set, snare and kick. The finish appears to be original but I’m not certain, they are finished in black lacquer/duco and as far as I’m aware this was not an option in the gretsch catalog. Any insight would be appreciated, I’ll post pics later today.

It wasn't specified in the catalog but you could order drums in lacquer finishes. I believe there is mention of being able to special order "any" solid color.
I have a Progressive Jazz snare in Black Lacquer that I'm convinced is 100% factory.
