That is the swinger series (as noted by the front head). Those Ludwig copy lug housings are plastic and known to break. Other than that they are the same 6 ply beech shell as the teardrops of the earlier 70's.
This set looks nice, I think the lug spacing is the same as teardrops but i'm not sure. Gary

Thank you very much for your response. One of the things that is odd to me about this set is the drum sizes: Bass: 21 1/2W x 14D Ride: 8W x 13D Floor: 16W x 15 1/2D By your assessment, can I safely say they are circa early 1970? Since I'm thinking about selling this kit, I'm trying to get an idea of their value. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Michael |
