Yesterday I came across a 60's Yamaha C200. I contacted the seller but someone who was near to him already scheduled a visit.
He told me this kit was stored on his grandmother loft since the late 60's. Unfortunately he sold the kit few minutes later to the other guy. Check this out: ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Holy Moly!
Love that finish. I have a Star Gold Agate Pearl kit, but that's like School Bus Yellow Agate Pearl. Super Cool "Bumblebee" finish |

Nice one. To bad finding original parts are harder tho find then complete or donor kits (which are sometimes hard to find themselves)
Locally a guy is selling a Black Willow D-22 kit, but without 16'' floor tom and maybe more parts missing (he says he has other parts not pictured, ad will make new pictures later) to find a matching floor will be just as impossible as finding spare parts sadly.

Love those finishes.. The blue one is my favorite, along with all the Willow finishes..
Those kits are really increasing in value. I once saw one on Reverb.com go for over $1k.. Not sure if they're worth that much, but it was to the person who bought it. Fellow forum member drumfx had a black willow Yamaha and was selling his for under $400 Cdn, and it was 100% original.. Awesome deal.. If i hadn't already picked up my vintage Yamaha Tour (8000) drums, i would have snagged his kit.. |

1k is crazy even though they are are in perfect condition.
A very mint Red Ripple DTT-225 with snare and snare stand sold on reverb for 563,72 a year ago: https://reverb.com/item/1413848-vint...extremely-rare I sold my very rare Blue Camphor DTT-225 for 530 two years ago (bought it for less then 300 with hardware and cymbals, quite a clean up job though) Before: ![]() After: (one of the two 12x8 toms pictured) You just have to wait for the right time and then jump on them. Probably the reason why this D-22 didn't sell: https://reverb.com/item/3332318-yama...x14-12x8-16x16 And why this D-20 didn't sell too: https://reverb.com/item/2018050-yama...-red-pine-wrap

My D-20 is looking for a new home.
My drumgeon is 10x11 and three kits in there is a bit cramped. Even with only one set up. I'm probably bringing it to the drum show again this year.

I just hope the 1k was a crazy exception because these kits are basically the best out of Japan from those days and the <-700 pricing makes a tremendous good kit available for drummers who can't spend luddy, gretsch or camco money.
