Default WFL marching snare
I was at the Rose Bowl flea market on Sunday, about to leave the place, when I spotted this sitting on a stack of junk from about 50 yards. It was baking in the sun, so I naturally decided to rescue it. It's a long way away from playable but the price was right.

Anyone have any thoughts on the year? No date stamp inside. The guy who sold it thought it could be the 30's though I didn't get the back story. He definitely purchased it from someone else, maybe an estate sale?

Looks pretty original though is clearly missing some parts.

Thanks!

The silver WFL badge is thought to indicate late 1940's manufacturing date.
