Hi all, I'd appreciate anyone has any info on this brand kit.
I know it's probably a "stencil" kit, similar to Pearl lugs etc. But I can't find any reference to this brand anywhere. It's odd, because the badges are metal/attached, not just stickers. Anyway, thanks in advance. Last edited by azazel; 07-29-2022 at 04:11 AM. |

Hi azazel... and
![]() "Toro" is a new one for me! Still, probably just another "stencil" name to add to the ever growing list! You are correct about the Pearl-style lugs and tom holders. These were used extensively as stencil sets moved to Taiwan from Japan. The ribbed metal snare drum is also of MIT heritage! Does this kit belong to you? Definitely a nice practice set! -Mark Last edited by idrum4fun; 07-01-2022 at 12:51 PM. |

Looks exactly like Maxwin (By Pearl) kits that were imported to OZ.... (right down to to the wrap)..

If you ordered enough stencil drums from the salesperson, you could get your own brand name applied to the drums at the factory. Or, you could contract a fabricator to make badges or stickers or decals for you to apply on unbadged stencil drums.

I knew they were probably one of the Pearl "stencil" kits, just can't find anything on these particular ones anywhere. And yes they are mine, they are nice and solid with the Pearl hardware. Much better quality than the cheapie kits. |

As i mentioned earlier, if you ordered enough stencil sets from Pearl that you wanted to badge as Leroy, chances are that no one on this forum would know about that "brand" of drums unless he or she owned one from when Leroy's music store in West Armpit Nebraska sold about a dozen of them.
