Default 1960s A Zildjian appears to be cut down
I've been tasked to sell some drum gear for a friend who's husband recently passed.
This cymbal was hanging on his music studio wall.
It's an AVEDIS ZILDJIAN C2 Genuine Turkish Cymbal Made In USA.
It's slightly less than 16" diameter.
It appears to have been cut down? The rivets holes are rough and probably not Factory.
It still sounds like cymbal.
Any $$ value?

No responses so I'll give an opinion. Looking at the edge, my guess is the cymbal was perhaps cracked and then roughly cut down which agrees with your theory. And I also agree, the one rivet hole shown looks to be 'homemade' and not very good at that. I would sell it as wall art which is where you found it. Try asking $75 bucks and see what happens. You never know.

You answered it yourself seems to me it was cut down in its past.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
