Hi all,
Well, after searching the web for a good condition Premier or Olympic kit for quite a while, it appears the saying " good things come to those who wait" became most appropriate. I got what I think is a great deal on a "time capsule" set of Super Olympics from '76 or '77. Apart from extremely minor swirl scratch in the finish of one drum, they are truly immaculate. All original hardware and Everplay drum heads installed from factory. They have been played, but not much. The seller even threw in an 18" Super Zyn crash=ride cymbal which actually sounds quite good with a nice Ringoish wash. The 1005 steel snare has not a single blemish on it....absolute minty. All the chrome is like brand new, and I don't think there's a more elegantly sculpted tom lug out there. Got the whole shebang for $500. The flat based cymbal stands are a bonus for me as I can use them with my '68 Oyster Black Luddies. Very pleased with this kit and it sounds fabulous. Cheers, Phil |

Phil, those are nice looking drums. Congrats.
Hey, if you want to sell the 18 inch Zyn crash / ride, please let me know, I could use one. |
