In the third pic I can see a Vista kit and what looks like a black cortex kit next to this one. Wonder if those will be next.

I believe he means this picture. You can see an Amber Vistalite something and a black kit left of the 2nd tom.

What I’ve been seeing lately is the prices are skyrocketing all over the place. And I noticed that some people , just buy because they want it. they pay ridiculous amounts of money some venders are selling drum sets for $35,000 plus . Doctors, lawyers, Any one with the doe re me , they don’t care , if they want it they pay the money,,,,….

I sold a Roger kit on REVERB time ago. I used REVERB shipping label, at their cost.
When I received payment it was short. Come to find out Reverb took more that stated on the shipping cost. I really had to fight them to get my money back. Meaning quoted shipping price is not guaranteed. So I overcharge for shipping unless the buyer wants to arrange for it. |

Once again, I urge buyers and sellers to check out the cost and convenience of using Greyhound bus line to ship drums from and to bus depots near your home. I found it much more pleasant to ship and receive drums at small rural bus "depots". These locations are usually small convenience store / gas stations about ten miles outside of metropolitan areas. I avoided driving to inner city Dallas or Houston by going to these small rural places. The shipping costs were always considerably lower than surface freight via UPS or FedEx. Shipping was also faster when the drums rode in the belly of the bus. I had a drum set leave the Boston area and arrive in the Dallas area in less than 36 hours. This included four or five transfers from one bus to another bus.

As far as shipping, I overcharge too, but always promise to refund the difference to the buyer, less the cost of materials and my time.

I ship sets like that all the time for well under $100. The guy is clearly a ripoff artist looking for a gullible mark.

"It's an old Rogers set that's worth a fortune. Never mind that I fu**** it up by adding a Slingerland tom. I'll ask a lot for it, and charge an arm and a leg for shipping."

Where are the outraged self-appointed vintage authorities who love to post scathing criticisms of people who post negative thoughts about an overpriced listing?
