Re: Question for the Premier experts

That’s a sharp kit. I’ll have to read up on the international vs pre-international topic. I appreciate the help.

Re: Question for the Premier experts

I bought this thinking it was a Royal Ace. I should have done more research first. I read about the grooved strainer being a indicator of the R.A. and this one has the smooth version. Perhaps I...

Hi folks, I'm wondering if the 2000 wood snare is essentially the same drum as the Royal Ace but with an updated strainer. I did some research and couldn't find the info.

Is the 2000 also 3 ply...

1928 Ludwig Juvenile Drum

Hello folks,

I just picked up this drum for short money. Based on a quick look through the old catalogs it appears to be a 1928 or 1929 Ludwig Juvenile snare drum.

I grabbed it thinking it...

Arrived today. Cleaned up and new heads. Looks great as the older gentleman with my Sonor kit. And sounds absolutely killer.

Thanks for the info. Yes, strange what someone did with the interior. I'll post more pics when it arrives.

Slingerland eBay find

Hello everyone,

I just bought this 60's Slingerland snare on eBay. I bought it as soon as it popped up because it was only $175 and that's low for any Slingerland from this era in my experience....

Re: Eames drum shells

My only experience is a 10 x 14 Snare at a drum shop I fill in at occasionally. I think it was a converted tom. Sounded absolutely killer.

Hi Guys,

This is a long shot but I've got a bent tension rod on an old Slingerland Legion Heir marching snare drum. The drum is 10 x 14 so the tension rod is about 10 3/8" long. I don't have...

Re: This is the Display Your Marching Snare Thread

Beautiful drum Heraldo. I have been wondering about these drums. Do they hold a tight enough tuning?

Re: This is the Display Your Marching Snare Thread

I love all the rope tension drums. Here's my modest entry: mid-60's Slingerland Super Tension parade drum 12 x 15. Nothing fancy but sounds fantastic to me.
