Merriam Webster defines vintage, in part, by these words:

"..of old, recognized, and enduring interest, importance, or quality : CLASSIC"

If I recall correctly, this began to be a phenomenon in...

Re: Opinions: Walopus Mardi Gras Wrap

I would love to find a really nice reproduction of Mardi Gras. Steve Maxwell had some made up but is exclusive to his Gretsch and DW lines.

Re: Rogers Black Onyx Drums

It's a darn good thing it's 2107 miles and 33 hrs away or I'd probably find myself buying it. Citadels from '68 in onyx finishes are top shelf for me.
Even if they were willing to wait a few months...

Re: Mike Layton killed in motorcycle accident

Thanks guys. It came to me a short time later. Short term memory is not what it once was. I wasn't acquainted with Mike, but probably read many of his posts and responses. Again, too sad.

Re: Rogers Dayton-Era Holiday Kit

Very nice and right price! Kind of cool that it has a small tom layout in the Pretty Purdie arrangement with larger tom ahead of smaller tom. As said above, should move quickly.

Not Vintage but Vintage

Rogers is now offering a new 20, 12, 14 setup. Might have been out there for a while, but this is the first one I've seen.

Re: Vintage Drum Market

Mark,

Kindly expand a bit on your experience with shipping via PayStation. I have a couple of kits to sell, but I hate quoting on the shipping. A couple of years ago, I might say, $125 East Coast,...

[QUOTE=Marty Black;471967]Fer shur! And how about those bass drums that have been painted black on the inside? Super cool?!

Too Bad Not to Need Another Kit

This kit popped up on Reverb this morning not too far from me in Natick, MA. My son probably could have swung by this week to get it and hold it for me. It would not be too far off course on his way...

Re: Vintage Drum Market

Wow Gerard. Maybe I’ll pick up a Club Date or two and fly over with them as excess baggage. Might pay for my trip. I used to bring a kit with me to the ME on BA free. One trip they tried to deny me,...

Re: 68 Slingerland Duet Outfit

The green glass is eye popping. I've never come across a green sparkle kit in a music store. I've seen a few online, but they were either very expensive or the wrap had gone south. It's a great...

Re: A bent p83 strainer lever

My experience is that an "E" clip is easily removed with a small screwdriver. It's the reinstall that always got me annoyed. When removing, do it someplace where you can find it if it accidently goes...

Vintage Drum Market

I noticed on Steve Maxwell's site an interesting paragraph about market values for vintage drums. He sees it as very strong. With recession looming, it is hard to understand how that market might be...

Re: Rogers Knobby Set Screws

Thanks guys. Considering USPS has a decent small box rate You have to assume some other hassle is causing him to hold on shipping. As Mark says, bummer.

Does anyone know a source for the set screws used on Rogers Knobby mounts, the ones applied to bass drum cymbal mounts and/or the floor tom leg mounts? Repros are fine. Most of what I see on eBay is...
