Thanks, it's all clear in my head now. I have both a 60's kit and a 70's outfit and the brackets are exactly how you described. You learn something everyday but some extremely valuable info like this...

I have done it once and the black panther stuff came off pretty easy. I would say under 2 hrs plus it protected the cool citrus finish under it. I would do it again in a heartbeat for sure.

Yes but keep in mind that quite a few black panther Ludwigs were actually hiding the less desirable citrus finish. Keep your eyes peeled for a nice surprise. You never know.

Player grade drums that an old collector and friend of mine let me have for cheap. 14/22 WFL, 8/12 Ludwig club date tom and a 16/16 Ludwig regular FT. Some chips on the BD and a couple of scratches...

Yes i once saw an old duco Slingerland that color so i decided to try it. My Next one will be a little bit darker like the Rogers Pacific blue.

Old 303 with a couple of snares. I love those mahogany shells with beech re-rings. That 14" tom is pretty special being 8" deep.

The plastic is as thick as regular drum wrap. I haven't had any problems but that being said, i have never left a drum inside a car in extreme heat.
