Looks like could be a Dandy badge on the snare,,, vintage of the picture would be correct for that brand... "Dandy" were also made by the Drouyn Drum company in Brisbane OZ ...

I used Chrome Wrap cut by & supplied from Jammin Sam... they included double sided tape at the overlaps.. But I also smeared some clear contact ( a light bead) along the cut insert... 10 years later...

As far as I know..
The "prototype aluminium model ran from 1968 -69.. Then the final cast & chromed version was introduced, this initially included "Patent Pending" on the BD mount inset logo.....

The light gauge 618 hardware was the first around early mid 70's... The 518 came next and was a lighter gauge version of the Pearl Powermate Hex series mounts. The latter worked fine considering the...

Yes that's the ones... I was working for the Pearl distributor back then.. Set up a lot of those kits in our Sydney wholesale showroom, I recall a very nice red wrap as well...

Looks exactly like Maxwin (By Pearl) kits that were imported to OZ.... (right down to to the wrap)..

If the seat turns on the post then it's more than likely a Burred thumbscrew... or thread on the tube. try easing it back & forwards..

They were '67 keystones silver sparkle... 13,14,16,18, 2x22, & a 5 1/4

Autosol Metal polish & soft cloth does a decent job on aluminium... I use it on shells, lugs & any metal fittings. I recently added a little "pizzaz" to an exposed section of a Remo BD aluminium hoop...
