WTB- 1940’s Slingerland WMP RK Tom

Looking for a WMP 12 or 13 in tom to add to my ‘40’s Radio King kick drum. Prefer ‘40’s to early’50’s, with calfskin heads.
Thanks!

Re: 1977 Slingerland Blakrome

Thanks! Yeah the dual spurs are nice... almost a necessity with the bigger shells and heavier metal wraps.

Re: WTB: Slingerland Bass Drum Spurs

I was curious why some Slingerland spurs are 11 inch and some are the 14 inch, so I checked my kits. My 77 and 79 kicks, both 22 inch, are equipped with the 14 inch, and my 72 24 inch kick has the 11...

Re: WTB: Slingerland Bass Drum Spurs

I have some 14.5x 3/8 I could part with. One of them is missing the tiny clip near the end.

Re: Slingerland vent/badge placement

Thanks. Serials range 62xxx-80xxx.
Yes, 24 inch bass, and 13,14,16 toms.

I’ve added the kit with a few photos to the Image Gallery.

Re: Slingerland vent/badge placement

Yes, it came with a couple warranty tags. Yeah, definitely can feel the etchings. Love the purple sparkle wrap!

1970/72 Slingerland in Blue Agate

Acquired these drums from a guy who recently bought them from the estate of the original owner. I don’t think they ever left the owner’s home... still had a couple warranty tags attached.
They don’t...

Re: Slingerland vent/badge placement

Makes sense- This weekend, I picked up the drums I was referring to. The serial number would indicate early ‘70’s production. Also, these badges are not perfectly smooth like the later ‘70’s...

Slingerland vent/badge placement

I have noticed some vent/badges located near the top rim, rather midway between the two rims. What time period was this done, primarily?
Thanks

1979 Slingerland Blues Time

1979 5 ply Blues Time in black gloss - very much like RJB kit, but updated stands. I love my 3 ply’s, but these 5 ply are a nice change up- brighter and more projecting.

Re: 1960 Slingerland Kit

I think you’re right- it does more closely match the 5N...I hadn’t noticed the optional 14x22 kick... $4 well spent for that upgrade!
Thanks!

1960 Slingerland's

Not sure what model kit this is. Seems close to the 3 piece 6N, but different rims and strainer...I would be interested in opinions. I believe the snare, tom and kick are matching originals. Hardware...
