Re: Musical Instrument Stores in Columbus, OH

Sounds like Uncle Sam's is a "look and leave" if the price of that Acro is representative. I'll definitely will check out the Music Go Round. I've had some good dealings with the one in Toledo...

Re: Musical Instrument Stores in Columbus, OH

Thanks for the heads up---it looks like Uncle Sam's has a pretty extensive musical instrument department. The Vintage Tequila Sunrise Vista's look pretty drool-worthy.

Re: How loud are stainless steel ludwigs ?

I had a 26x16 six ply Classic kick, part of probably one of the last b/o badged Chicago kits , and that thing weighed a ton! The four curved spurs probably didn't help any...

Re: Should I break my kit up for sale?

From what I saw on Ebay, 26's are going from 500 to 775 (a blue 14/26), 18 inch toms in the 500 range, didn't see any 10x14's. My guess is that you'll do as well selling it outright rather than...

Re: Vintage Ludwigs Refurb Project - Indiana

The Village Drum and Music looks to be a great store; I checked their website out and was amazed at the amount of stuff that they managed to cram into what looks like a pretty small building. They...

Re: Vintage W&A Kit Restoration

John, I remember you from DFO. I'm the "artist formerly known as luddite." Hope that you get to feeling better. Truly an epic thread and a great restoration job!

Re: 78 Ludwig Classic

Interesting thread. I dealt with the glue issue on my mid-70's Pro-Beat kit; not fun! It looks like you're making great progress, continue with the updates. I'd love to see how it turns out.

Re: Where is introduction part of forum?

Great to be here! I see a lot of "familiar faces," yours included. An awful lot of "luddyhuggers" as well, so I feel right at home!

Re: Where is introduction part of forum?

Hello, everyone! As my name would indicate, I'm a Ludwig fan. I was "luddite" on another forum. I came up with my current name thanks to a gentleman on my previous forum who was NOT a fan of Ludwig...
