Re: eBay moment

I've been watching a Camco wing screw for several months being offered by this seller. But at $39.95, I'm now just morbidly curious when or if it will sell.

Re: Repairing a Camco Aristocrat Strainer.

Re: Drum Strippers...Love em' or hate em'

I have bought from them too. Usually in the "thrill of the hunt" in getting to complete a project. But $29.95 for a period correct wing screw I need? I'll wait for the next bus.

Re: Drum shop with the largest inventory of vintage drums.

After trying all the above, I would recommend getting with Sherman and Mr. Peabody to use the Way Back machine to about 1950 and visit Franks Drum Shop in Chicago. ;)

Re: This is the Display Your Camco Drums Thread

I finally restored the early Oaklawn (20-12-14) I bought last year and got to use it in the Orchestra for some Gershwin and other pieces.

Camco hi-hat clutch minutiae

I'm restoring a model 800 hi-hat and while replacing an incomplete clutch and discovered this:

Aside from the different lengths, I'm guessing the one on the left was made on Monday or Friday.

Re: Ludwig super sensitive brass shell info needed

I agree with BEC. The shell looks like it has the folded over weld on the bearing edge lip,
The strainer is pre-1935. The snare guards are the early 60's era or reproductions. I'm not sure when...

Re: Oops! Caught by the Glitter of it All

Nice find!! Blue Glass Glitter/Sparkle is my favorite color. I also have a Citadel that was stored for decades and the only minus is one tiny spot of rash on the BD.
