Re: Ludwig Keystone Club Date Floor Tom Leg Brackets-What Parts Do I Need?

Thanks, I guess I got those measurements flipped around. I’ve seen a picture of a measurement that looked like it was 2-1/4” for your spring style leg mount.
I’ve had a drum with that spring style...

Re: Ludwig Keystone Club Date Floor Tom Leg Brackets-What Parts Do I Need?

I’ve found some pictures of what they should be like and yes they used straight legs. I believe your hole spacing is 1 7/8” on those.
I think the newer Ludwig leg mounts have 2 1/4” spacing.

Re: Should I shellac my luan shells?

I’ve used a few coats tung oil to luan shells with success. It’s a longer process but worth it. Natural and also helps waterproof it. You can google tung oil for info.
As far as sound, not sure I...

Re: Newest Score: Tempo Aqua Blue Sparkle Kit

Looks great DrumBob!
Did this kit not come with the clip style tom mount and prefer using a stand or did you just not install it because that is the mount you were talking about to use with the...

Re: Newest Score: Tempo Aqua Blue Sparkle Kit

Great score DrumBob! I find once I clean up a kit, fix it and after giving it that love, it’s hard to separate with them.
The floor tom looks great and really can’t tell it’s a different make. The...

Re: Vintage Trap kit project

What I believe are the trap table mounts that will attach to the hoop. There are only two, I’ve just positioned them differently for the two pics. I have a 2 Ludwig Jr. pedals. This one I have...

Re: Vintage Trap kit project

On the gold T-Rods, they have a claw for the handle side and claw without a hole on the other. Several of them on the handle side are flared out. The ball shape of the handle tore into these from...

Re: Another Delusional Ebay Seller

Sometimes I think sellers are asking a delusional price and possibly accepting offers. If offered half of what they’re asking, the seller still makes out. I’m guessing this as a possible strategy?...

Re: Another Delusional Ebay Seller

(From page 1) My point was, since they’re asking over $2000 too much, IMO, the shipping at least could be free.

Re: Vintage Trap kit project

I had deleted the posting pics info because it’s a little different now with new forum.

Thanks for the hide glue tip.. etc. I can find brass or copper washers if needed for that.

At this point...

Re: Estate planning

My son would get it all. He can do what he wants with it.
Maybe I’ll ask him to bury some of my ashes with dirt and a few rides, dig them up in a couple years and see how they sound! :D

Re: Vintage Trap kit project

Thanks Pedal Pusher. I think a 14x20” will work good.

My current dilemma are the single tension rods (gold) on the bass drum. I have 3 without their handles. One missing it’s center Ludwig logo...

Re: Burying cymbals in dirt to make them sound better

I think it was Sabian that did that with like a hundred cymbals. “Soil aged”
Maybe if I sand blast a ride cymbal, I could sell it as a sand ride? Party

Re: Vintage Trap kit project

Does anyone know the dimensions of a standard vintage trap table?
I measured what I think would work and it’s like either 13 or 14” deep, 20” wide.
Any input greatly appreciated. Thanks in...
