Good to know.

Looking closer at those pics from the other thread it shows some aging/cracks and not too much "craftsmanship" where the inlays meet at the seam area.

I wasn't aware Ludwig even offered inlays on the early drums, so I'm going to link another thread, from the For Sale section, that features Schmegeggie's recently sold '29-'32, 5"x14", Super...

Here's a few screen shots of the Ludwig catalogs from the '20's...

One of the pages (Ludwig_1927_b) has the statement "Send for prices on ornamental finishes." Not sure if that means fancy inlays...
