From what I read on different websites and wiki pages they were all resin. Interesting thing is that only catalogs I have seen that feature the president line are japanese. One owner of a set said...

The difference is that the president sets are not made of wood. They were Phnolic which is a resin. They are known to last longer than most drums and keep there finer bearing edges better than wood. ...

A local is selling these and they really have no clue what to list them at. What is a ball park figure for this 4 piece with pearl stands,hardware. Looks in good shape.

I found this mint 17 tenor from a Shriners club, with nearly untouched calfskins on it and turned it into a kick with custom hoops. Sold it last year. It sounded great.

This is good info, I have one push button leg on mine that slips I will check for burrs. I put a hose clamp on it for now that holds great, but does not allow me to shorten the leg very quickly when...

What makes you think that it is not a Slingerland stand. It looks just like 3 I have that came with my one owner 65 Gene Krupa Deluxe 1n set. They are in great shape and still have the slingerland...

They tune up really easily. Great reliable drum. Had one, and sold for 250 only because I have a Dynasonic that sounds better tuned high.

The set of 64 Slingerlands in satin flame I got with a one owner set had 60s zildjian Avedis, 14" hats light weights mid 700s for both top and bottom, and a fairly light 20. Both are great for jazz

posted on craigslist for 50, very interesting that it has tom mount but bass type tension rods on one side and very wide rings with dual mufflers....

forget it, got a hold of the seller and it sounds like the strainer system is loose (says he has to use tape to get the wires to make good contact with the head) and he had gone and repainted the...

SOLD Early 70s Rogers Swan leg cymbal stands in very good shape.

Light weight, work great, not sticky to open or collapse. Amazingly the rubber feet are in perfect shape.
Has swivo tension screw for both. One has all original parts, the other has two...

Got it back in April but I was spending all my attention on the Slingerland Gene Krupa kit. So now I have been playing this and loving how big it sounds.
