Re: Slingy Cocktail Drum?

The drum itself is not two pieces, it is one piece, 3 ply. Just the wraps are split in two. It almost seems as if they were at the end of a production run and put it together with the left over...

Re: Slingy Cocktail Drum?

So your remark about the metal strip in the middle got me curious. I hadn't seen that on Slingerlands before either. I took out a screw on the strip and it was obviously put on to cover that the...

Slingy Cocktail Drum?

Not sure what I got but I like it. Hardware looks like Slingerland but no stamp date on the inside and no badge or vent hole. Looks like a 3 ply with rings. Any idea if this would be a Slingerland...

Early 60's Slingerland Floor Tom Wanted

Looking to round out my kit. Most interested in a project or potential re-wrap. As long as the shell is solid I can work with the rest.

Thanks,

Re: 16" Slingo? FT Indiana

The grain is running vertical, not around the drum. Gotta be Japan.

Re: Ludwig Pink Oyster pearl?

I saw the kit on EBAy it looked a little rough given what they were asking for it. If 90 sheets is the minimum to get Delmar to make POP let's do it! It's like going in for season tickets for the...

Wink Slingy with a Japan Floor Tom?

Bought this kit on E-Bay as a 62 Slingerland Maple kit. The wrap had been removed and the drums stained and varnished. The bass and tom are indeed Slingerlands from 1962 but the floor tom is...

Re: pink oyster shell

I know where there's one in a shop but I would have to raid my kid's college fund to give'em what they want for it. I'm not there yet, (but I'm getting close)!:D

Re: Slingerland WMP Kit 1965?

Seller now says he thinks the kit is from the 70's with the Snare being from the 60's. Tom mount is a Pearl.

I'm going to pass on this. Thanks for everyone's help!

Here's the link if anyone...

Re: Slingerland WMP Kit 1965?

Here's a close-up of the Mount. They are telling me it's a '65 based on the serial numbers but that seems pretty unreliable.

Slingerland WMP Kit 1965?

Thinking of picking up this Slingy WMP kit and I'm being told it was made in 1965. The Tom mount doesn't seem right to me but I really don't know. Anyone want to venture if this is authentic? Any...
