Re: Slingerland Re-wrap opinions

Looks nice, a little elbow grease and satin finish on the natural wood. Or sometimes, i like to re-wrap with a finish that was offered back in the day. Here are 2 examples.

I was bored and i had shells lying around

I decided to make my own wrap and bring back 3 orphans to life. I tried something wacky with regular paint and self adhesive stars and it turned out pretty ok. The BD is an old 22" Aria, the 12" is a...

Re: Coronet LOVE

Some music stores as well, i remember drooling over a butcher block Ludwig kit at Marazza music when i was a kid and they have had quite a few (then new) MIJ kits with Japanese cymbals.

70’s Slingerland’s in Tangerine Sparkle

I have owned many vintage kits over the years but never anything in tangerine sparkle. When a friend of mine proposed to sell me a white 22' and a bare 16", i had to jump on it. I already had a...

Re: This is the Display Your MIJ Drums Thread

I picked up this Baxter 4 pc. with original heads. The leather wrap on it was in bad shape. I had some leftover WMP wrap that was sleeping on the shelf.

Re: tie dye kit in the makings

Print these, they look cool and they are generic. Also, you need to get yourself a hi-gloss clear plastic 4'x 8' sheet cut to size for each drum. I get mine from a local shop for $20 each to cover...

Slingerland "Modern Jazz” Outfit

I have played and owned numerous Slingerland kits but this one has exceptional tone. Maybe because the shells are bare and not wrapped. This 20-12-14 kit is in almost perfect condition. The FT...

1975 Rogers Big R

This 1975 kit needed love so i made some wrap to dress it up. The shells are like new but the wrap was falling off the shells. I dressed it up and it sounds so fat and big and looks good too.
