Anyone need a 22" Gretsch shell, or pieces?

Hi all. Got this leftover shell from some dealings. 22x 18" Gretsch, looks to be '80's. Pearl tom mount and legs. I have a pair of natural finish hoop for it. No lugs. Clearing things out. Free for...

Re: This is the Display Your Rewrapped Vintage Drums Thread

Two other rewraps. The Ludwig was wrapped with oak laminate. Looked great! The Gretsch, the bass was wrapped to match the older rewrapped toms. Blended together well.......

Re: This is the Display Your Rewrapped Vintage Drums Thread

This one was wrapped in Pionite. Usually used on countertops. Bad pic, it was a marbled blue. Super tough. Great way to go.....

Re: Some old non-descript Ludwigs

If they are the 4 ply shells, they'd sound good. I'd clean them up and try them. Play them as a 4 pc set, with the tom on a snare stand, so you can move it out a bit and get it lower.
I like toms...

Re: This is the Display Your Rewrapped Vintage Drums Thread

My gigging kit. ‘58 Ludwig bass and snare. ‘70’s Gretsch toms. All orphans that had been badly drilled and otherwise molested. Wrap is Batik cloth. Inspired by the Slingerland Aztec series. And cheap...

Re: Rogers wood snare shell

I’ve got a Luxor with flaking Duco. It’s an early one with the dreaded B&B lugs. I’ll have to dig around and see if I have 6 Non cracked lugs. They can be repaired, also. Bill

Re: This is the Display Your Rewrapped Vintage Drums Thread

My fav rewrap was my Dayton Rogers set. One of the best sets I've ever played. Shoulda *never* let that one go. One of my worst mistakes. But, at the time, I'd just picked a rare Gretsch set in the...

Re: Why Play Vintage?

For me, it’s the sound, the field, the looks. The only new set I have ever owned was a DW collectors.Just wasn’t me. Ended up trading it for having a house painted. My current Slingerlands said it’s...

Re: The Gretscherland

Looks great! Never seen a Gretsch with factory painted interior. I’d just leave it alone. Stripping it would be a huge mess. Wouldn’t want to risk messing up the wrap.
