I looked into this a few years ago. The largest problem is with finding filaments, the materials used to build out the printed items, with enough tensile strength to handle the stress lug casings...

You would probably have to go back to the 70's to have USA hardware. It's simply not economically (or environmentally) viable to do it in the States in bulk.

They were successful enough to be around 20 years and made it through the Yamaha era. But I agree that they'll never go for the same as the American brands. I love my Premiers but the resale value...
