Re: Found a gem in paradise!

DO NOT REFINISH THESE DRUMS! For the love of god they are only original once. The patina is charming and tells the story of a well loved and played drum set. Just clean and detail the chrome.

Re: 192X ludwig Standard Snare-Muffler?

I think the throwoffs you are referring to have the same hole spacing. The later "hourglass" 30's Professional model throw has the same hole spacing as the prior Professional throw (later bumped down...

Re: 192X ludwig Standard Snare-Muffler?

Three holes aren't extra - the strainer was probably swapped at some point the last 90 years since it was made with an earlier Ludwig Professional throwoff. I have the muffler just not installed.

Re: 192X ludwig Standard Snare-Muffler?

one WFL/Ludwig push button floor tom mount tab

I need just the tab to a WFL or Ludwig push button floor tom mount.
Ideally I'd like a nickel finish but chrome is fine.
I'd also buy a complete mount if you have one, WFL in nickel.

Thanks!

Re: Camco Restoration - a labor of love.

Walter -

As you probably are aware, Camco drums that were wrapped had the white interiors (other than LA era Camco which all had clear maple interiors). The stained/ lacquered drums had clear...

Re: Slingerland blue satin flame wrap /donor drum

Not on a factory original Camco kit! Hoops are easily repaired with the right stuff but that would be lasting damage and not a good trade-off.

Re: Early DW Drums

Your drums are definitely some of the earliest DWs they made. The Camco parts are evidence of this - the spurs/mounts and the hoops as well. The shells will also be leftover Camco shells most likely....

Re: Need Help Identifying Vintage Drums

Also - the other Ludwig snare is a black beauty from the 1970's it appears - a 5x14" super sensitive model. Take that one in for an appraisal as well although I would guess it in the 1000-1500 range....

Re: Camco Value

This kit will do well to the right buyer - one thing to note is the bass drum hoops are not original. They look more like Gretsch with a wider channel than Camcos have.

I would guess 1500 range -...
