Re: Rogers 14" floor tom sale question

I didn't see that auction. I've been looking for a 14 BDP Rogers for quite some time. It was too steep for me anyway. Over the years I have bought a black onyx and blue onyx 14 toms to embellish...

Rogers 22" Bass Drum Hoop NEW OLD STOCK in box Vintage 1970's

This is a Rogers, 22" bass drum hoop that has never been used. It is still wrapped and in the box. The hoop is black with a metallic inlay which may be loose from the small section unwrapped. I will...

Re: Rogers Holiday

Yeah. Every time you would strike the drum, the lug would feel some vibration. It would be like a high cycle fatigue test.

Re: Rogers Holiday

Don't you see them? I love that early collet set-up. I have a few and use a straight arm in front of the tom collet for a splash cymbal.

Congrats!

Re: Rogers 7 Line Question

Yes, it is a dyna, just without a bridge. Good news, re-pops are available for around $75 or so. Last year, I bought a 6 1/2" 7 liner without a bridge. I bought a new bridge and the drum sounds...

Re: Question for Rogers experts

Note: The snare in the 1st pic appears to be a 7 line, B+B dyna. That is a cool drum and worth some change.

Re: Show Off Your Silver Sparkle

Ya know, I think that IS a 12". I have 2 kits that I bought as 22-13-16. One red sparkle the other silver. After buying them I immediately bought 12" matching toms, which I prefer when playing.

Re: Show Off Your Silver Sparkle

They have faded to a pewter like tone. The serial no. on the 13 is 14147 which I believe is 65-66

Thanks,
Dave

Re: Repair Project

I agree. $900 is just too much. Spend a few hundred more and get a complete kit.

Re: Slingerland Yellow Jacket question

I've gigged a yellow jacket for 23 yrs before it broke. It took a while for parts but finally got it restored. I also have a DW and Iron Cobra but still love the slingy.

Congrats! You were pretty lucky, though as silver spkl. is hard to made when the fade comes into play.

Re: Rogers Red Onyx Drums

That kit was available at the Chicago show perhaps 5-8 yrs ago. It was reasonably priced and I almost bought it but decided I didn't need another kit at that time.

Re: Rogers Question

The bow tie t-rods are a good thing (if original) and points to it being a Cleveland kit. I would say a Cleveland 22 is worth much more than a drum from Fullerton.

Re: Rogers Black Onyx

That is my favorite finish! I have a beautiful 20-12-14ft-16ft with a matching powertone., all Cleveland. I've been meaning to get a glamour shot of these. Perhaps this will light a fire.

Congrats...

Re: Rogers Swivo Cymbal Arm Question

Yes, pic 2 is of the cymbal arm and pic 3 is of a tilter. With an extension arm, the hex rod directly under the cymbal felt (pic 3) can be longer, perhaps up to 6" or so. They came in several...
