Re: RIP Christine McVie

Nice deep voice. She really blossomed as a writer after meeting Lindsey. Then again, anyone would, really. :)

Re: Sonor Teardrop Drums

Sonor are very underrated. I'd love a kit but that would be frivolous. Sonor in my opinion are very consistently excellent. A great combo vintage/newer sound that isn't gimmicky or annoying. Like DW...

Re: Rogers, keep or sell?

The Rogers wrap looks really nice, considering it tends to split or crack over time. It's always nice to havea second kit if you can afford it. I say keep!

Re: Obp ringo snare

I wish. Though one could have any different kinds of OBP snares, right? Ringo played a few different kinds 1963-1970?

Re: Ludwig Rocker Snare

I had a kit with snare as well. The black and white badges were the USA 1980s version if I recall correctly. The 1990's overseas-made Rockers have the cartioonish Ludwig badge and weren't as well...

Re: Danelli Snare

Why has Dino stopped playing with latest incarnation of The Rascals? I'm sure the reason is out there somewhere. The Rascals Ft. Felix Cavaliere & Gene Cornish "Time Peace Tour 2022" is currently...

Re: The Band That Wasn't The Beatles

Yes - something about outer space as well? Can't say I've ever listened to them.

Re: Danelli Snare

DrumBob - thanks for the stories. You need to write another book. Though I know you said "never again!" :) So, was Dino going to throw the Rogers snare out for trash? AM I miss something about the...

Buddy released only 2 or 3 (?) albums while alive so ... I'm sure it's on eBay. I have one of them I believe.

Re: Buddy Holly Remembered

Thanks for sharing this amazing story.

Maria is still with us at age 89. Buddy's music still sounds so fresh even to this day. It was recorded so well.

Re: Ross Custom Drum Set

Person I bought them from wasn't sure nor am I. You might be able to reach out to Mr. Ross somehow and ask. My gut says maple but I'm not schooled in wood types. Sorry!

Ross Custom Drum Set

These nice drums were made 10-20 years ago by Lou Ross of Ross Custom Drums in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They are heavy, wonderfully sounding and professionally constructed in every way. I simply...

Re: Drum Brand Preferences

Funny you should mention Camco. I thought the same, that was my ultimate kit. One came on the market here and I bought it immediately. $1,050 which included a matching snare. When I played it I was...

Re: RIP Alan White

Worked with John Lennon on Lennon's earliest solo LPs, of which I think are better than anything he did with The Beatles. Plastic Ono Band and Imagine albums are some incredible works of artistry.
