I will send a PM in just a second. I ordered the 12 ply maple hoop. I had the guy do the round over for me. I am going to just do a black stain, then seal them.

This looks great with the non inlay hoops, I may just get them and and stain them black, so you can see the wood grain.

Here is a link to my kit. It isn't any color right now. Somebody (before I got them in 1988) removed the original gold sparkle wrap, filled the reso head holes with filler, and wrapped them black. ...

These are never going to be worth any money, nor are they ever going to be sold. I am using the original claws, I just want to make sure they will fit. Should I go for the 1 3/4 or the 1 1/2? 10...

Cool. The saddest part of this whole project was after removing the black wrap, which was not original, it appears these drums were originally gold sparkle.

The shells are kind of hacked up. ...

Ok, I just finished taking the wrap off the drums. I punched out the previously filled holes.

What is the best product to use to get the glue residue off before filling and sanding the shells...
