Re: When did Zildjian use this ink stamp?

Pre-Sabian, when Robert Zildjian left the family graces and went to New Brunswick? I think that was in the mid-late 70s??

Didn't those sometimes have Made in Canada as part of the impression...

Re: When did Zildjian use this ink stamp?

That's a new one on me. does that say CM, as in centimeters? So perhaps Canadian?

Re: Too Bad Not to Need Another Kit

Seems like I recall seeing that rewrapped swirl kit on a MGR/GC site within the last couple of months? Nothing stands out to me more than a non-Rogers finish on a Rogers kit! Other than that, a nice...

Re: Rogers Drums

I truly doubt that the paint was removed by a previous owner, unless somewhere along the line another previous owner subsequently painted the interiors black for instance.

The one picture looks...

Re: Wrap shrink

There is no gap; Ludwig employed at least an inch of overlap on those sparkle finishes.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about the original glue stain. It gives credence that its the original wrap...

Re: Question for the Premier experts

Hey - that's my 303 kit and I'm a member here too!

The snare is a period-matching likely CoA 2000 model and it is incredible.

Re: Ludwig Last WFL & First Trans Badge

Jan 58 drums should have badges with WFL at the top and Ludwig across the bottom. B1 bought back the rights from CG Conn in 55.

Re: Ludwig Last WFL & First Trans Badge

Trans badges with date stamps run from Nov 58 to Nov 60. Anything outside of that range would be news.

Re: Rogers 22" Holiday Blue Onyx 1968

If you do a BIN or reserve at $350, you will generate zero interest. Way too high, imho. Yes, there is a lot of auction psychology at play.

A 7-day auction with an opening 99 cent bid will...

Re: Rogers 22" Holiday Blue Onyx 1968

Will be interesting to watch this - what's your plan? 99 cent opening bid, reasonable reserve, high reserve? I've got a sales price in mind just for grins.

Not a bidder, just watching - saw you...

Re: Super-Sensitive with Plating Issues

I've restored many 60's supras and supersensitives that had major pitting. Only one was so bad that I had it dipped at a plating shop; did some felt wheel polishing on that one to bring it back to a...

Re: Advice on Selling Bass Drums

Tommyp,

You need to check your threads; this is NOT the For Sale section. Op was asking for ADVICE, and it was delivered, although now no one can see what was said. Op seems fixated on maximizing...

Re: Advice on Selling Bass Drums

You're a bit too late for sound advice Jag. Op is only here for the $$. I suggested yesterday that he should rape the basses for parts to maximize his bottom line then set the shells on fire, but...

Re: Vintage Rogers 16" floor tom, Holiday Blue Onyx

That's been pretty clear, thus the bargains. But you are moving your very high quality Rogers gear, and that in itself is your objective.

Re: Rogers Holiday

Any Covington-built Rogers kit is worth acquiring, if you ask me. That kit in the USA would sell reasonably quickly if priced at $1300-$1400. Any more it will sit for a bit. I have no idea of the...

Re: Rogers Holiday

Crimped beds look right, badge looks right, no pitting looks right, but the baseball bat muffler is not a good sign for CoB.

More importantly, that lower lip doesn't looked turned in enough to say...
