Zyn/Premier paper thin crash - good buy?

Ahoy, friends!

I need advice regarding this cymbal. It's for sale for about 50 dollars.

18" Zyn, probably stamped Premier, 1250 grams, made from nickelbrass.

Any ideas on how it may sound? Is it worth buying for that price? I'm a little concerned about the weight - will such a light nickelbrass cymbal have any tone at all and won't it crack after first blow?

here's a link to the only picture I have.

I use a Zyn hihat cymbal as a crash. It is quite thin, but has shown no sign of suffering. I can't tell you what an 18" crash would sound like, though. My hihats sound really washy and quite dark. They have a china-type quality, because of the shape and small bell.

I always figure that if a cymbal is forty or fifty years old, has been played a lot, and is still in one piece, it is good to go for another century providing you play it properly. Go for it!

For $50, if it turns out to be a dud, you can probably get your money back in a resell,,,,as far as the sound goes,,,cymbals like the old Zyn's are either bad or good,,,usually bad,,,,but if you get a good one you will love it. Thats all I gotMister T
