My guess is that they are all MIJ, based on the way they have tarnished.
Zintage Vildjians?
Really? :( I have the buyers remorse.
But that 18" is a Paiste, right? Laughing H
After closer inspection I believe these to be the lids off of some toxic-waste barrels used in the filming of The Toxic Avenger.
I'm still waiting for these to arrive. I live across the pond from the US so it's takes a while.
I'm hoping the one in the middle with the fancy lathing is a Zildjian. It really looks like a Zildjian, no? Please let it be that! :D
Nope..
These are the bottom of the barrel Cyms ..
The middle cym's lathing isn't a Zildjian ...the lines are to exact...
Maybe clean them up...flatten them out and put on a mij kit to sell...
I'ld sell ya a good 60s 18" zild crash/ride CYM for cheap...but the shipping from Canada to Ireland would reallu up the price...

I hate to say it but I don't think the middle one is a Zildjian. The edge bends say Japanese brass cymbals to me. I hope I'm wrong though
I mostly use MIJ cymbals to decorate the house. I clean them with oven cleaner and they look brand new albeit somewhat dented and out of round.

Appreciate it man, but I'll pass. You're right. Shipping can cost a shiny penny or two.
I just took a chance on these thinking maybe I could sell them on. I didn't even think too much, just placed a bid and 10 seconds later I won the bid. I'll be happy if I can sell them and break even. I know the lathing isn't Zildjian-like, but I want to believe it's a Zildjian so much. I think that when I finally get to hear it and it sounds like a block of wood, not even metalic I'll still say to myself, yep, Zildjian. That's a Zildjian. Ha ha! It's an Old K, stamp no longer visible. Has to be. :D

When you say decorate your house do you mean ash trays? Scarecrow faces? A target for throwing rocks at? I'd imagine that's about all the charm these things have. They just look like scrap iron to me, barely musical instruments. Laughing H
I paid $3,995.96 for these.
