Zildjian "Field"Cymbals

Loading...

There doesn't seem to be much out there on these...but have any of you had any experience with Zildjian Field Cymbals?

I just got a pair of 16" field cymbals from Reverb, for what I feel was a good price ($65.00). I assume they were sold originally as band/marching cymbals.

Looking forward to getting them, and was curious if any of you had ever used them before.

Thanks!

Tony

Heavy and loud!

That said, I have a vintage set of 15's that are amazing hats...

You may have a pair of 16" ride cymbals!

They should work well! Generally heavy and great stick and chick sounds.

For those tuning in, the field cymbals have a brass grommet on the hole so the leather handle does not cut.

Also, with my 15's, I had to drill a couple 1/4" holes in the bell of the bottom cymbal because the edges were so worn they stuck together a lot! If less worn, this won't be a problem.
