Zildjian "Deep Ride" Anomaly

Hey folks,

I came across this on the bay. I know that Zildjian offered a "Deep Ride", up through the hollow logo era, but it was discontinued somewhere in the mid 1980's. This cymbal is clearly a modern stamp A (post-1995). Anyone know more?

Zidljian re-issued the Deep Ride briefly in the early to mid 2000's as part of their Rarities line. If you have a photo of the stamp, the first two letters indicate the year in which it was manufactured.

Of course, the re-issue Deep ride is more like the later versions from the 80's, rather than the earlier versions from the 70's that had distinct a hammering pattern that mimicked hand hammering.
