Zildjian New Beat hi hat question

Loading...

I just picked up a pair of New Beat HH's today. From the faint stamping, they are from the 1970s.They are also stamped 'top' & 'bottom'.The top weighs 920 grams, the bottom weighs 1080 grams.

My question is about the weights. Is this an average weight ratio between the two?

The older the NB's,the thinner the top................

They MAY be from the 1960's. Not only are they stamped 'top/bottom',they are also stamped 'medium'.Never seen that on HH's
