Zildjian hats

Loading...

I've bought this hihats for very cheap, unfortunately the bottom has been drilled so I don't think they'll be worth much, can anyone suggest me the year of production please?

Pics in the link let me know in case it doesn't work!

Thank you in advance!

Hi - I’m no expert but judging by the 3 dots, I think they’re from the 60’s.

Drums: Ludwig / Star / Tama / Yamaha
Snares: Arai /Mapex / Ludwig / Slingerland / Star / Tama
Cymbals: Meinl / Paiste / Tosco / Wuhan /Zildjian / Zyn

Same as black label 1960's...I don't think the drill hole makes much difference, but would affect sale value. Just play em.

They look like '60s hats. I assume the hole in the bottom cymbal was intended to reduce airlock, but its unlikely to make a significant difference and it shouldn't affect the sound. Since '60s hats aren't that valuable to start with, I wouldn't expect the hole in the bottom to affect the value of the pair by much.

Those have a 1960s looking trademark stamp and 1960s lathing. Assuming they are 14", the expected median price is $140 with half selling for between $100 and $185 n=43 completed sales. As with BosLover I wouldn't expect the hole to affect the price very much and would still use the $140 median price as the best estimate. The only thing which would change that is if the hole was drilled to stop some sort of tonal groove crack, but I don't see anything like that in your photos.

If they happen to be another diameter you can scroll up or down from that link to see other diameters.
