I have had my cymbols with a kit I've had since I was a young kid. They are Zildjians but do not have the big black letters. Only the engraved. Is there a way to identify or date these. I know they are 20 years old cause I've had them at least that long. Some direction would be much appreciated.

IF they never had ink logos, they could be '60's or even earlier, in which case they have some value to them. They also may have had ink logos once but they wore off....[/COLOR]
Sorry for the typo. Yes I can get some pics. I'll do so here in just a little bit. But I'm certain they never had the ink stamps.
Here are some pics. The cymbals I have are 2 18" crash, a 20" ride and 1.5 sets of hats. :) All are Zildjian, and all have the same marks. Here are some pix. A group and a couple of the ride and the mark.

Which squigly U are you talking about. The ride which is the example close up has 2 dots in one and 3 in the other...... I'll check the others more closely

It's located in the Arabic script for Zildjian, lower right. If you see any dots at all, and there's supposed to be 3 within that character, then you can consider it to be as good as all 3 dots. There are plenty of other eras that also have the 3 dots, but at least in your case this indicate1960's vintage.

Seems the 20" ride is the only one with the dots in the U . The rest are without. So let me understand. The ride with the dots can be as old as the 60's the others are some time newer?
