Zildjian Constantinople attic find Last viewed: 1 week ago

Loading...

Hello.

I just registered here for a question: I stumbled across an attic find which is a 16,7 inch 2080 gr Zildjian Constantinople; old stamp according to Rob Scott (http://www.robscott.net/cymbals/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/stamp3b2.jpg).

It has no cracks, no dings, no keyhole, just a tiny part of roughness on the edge. She is a beauty.

Does anyone here know how much it could be worth in general?

Regards from Switzerland

I swear I saw a list on the net that someone compiled of turkish K's and what they sold for,but I can't seem to find it.

I can offer this,

and this,

I guess your cymbal is pre 1923.

As far as I know the CONSTANTINOPLE cymbals bring less than the Istanbul ones.

Old K's were bringing stupid money before the economy went dowm the drain.

That might be me with a list of old K prices. I only differentiate into 3 broad stamp eras (old, intermediate, new) because finer distinctions mean you won't get decent sample sizes for a statistical analysis. I didn't put anything here before because I don't really have any properly comparable data.

That's a very heavy one and they don't get much price love. If it weighed half as much it would be more like these (image attached) and you could expect around $300-$350.

At that weight maybe $100-$150, but that's very uncertain because the European market is different from the USA market.
