Zildjian A age

I just got these Zildjian A hats and ride. The seller inherited them from a relative who apparently owned them since 1958. Can anyone verify the age from the stamps here?

Yes the stamp verifies the approximate year of 1958. Let us know the height of the stamps. I suspect about 1 1/4" which is the most common of that era.

Just for fun let us know the size of cymbals and weight!

The ride is 20 and a quarter inches and weighs 1240g and the hats are 14" and weigh 780g and 840g. Not sure how accurate the weights are though because the scales seem fairly dodgy

780g and 840g for the hats seem reasonable. The weight for the ride does not. That would be an astoundingly light 20". Even a 1500-1600g one is a very rare bird.

That weight is more reasonable. For comparison my hats from the late 1950s era are both 740g (flange hats) and my late 50s 20" ride is 1975g. Nice all purpose cymbals you could use for just about anything. Enjoy them.
