You don't see many of these things around anymore, do you?

As a matter of fact, you didn't see many of these things (25"ers) back in the day either.

I never ever saw one before. Without swearing,...I F'n loved it. Whoever is playing it showed a perfect example of old K's don't wash until you make them before they started playing the kit. They don't lose their shine either. They just cost so much !

That may be one of Bill Maley's old videos. I recall him having a 25" at one time. I've had to chance to buy a 23 and a 25 and should have.

And now here's a surprise. No, it's not a K., and it's not one of Bill Maley's from way back when.

It's this:

And if you've got one large you can make it yours!

Very nice Bill! Block stamp too. Doesn't hold a candle to your trans stamp 26" though!

You're completely right about that. That one is in a category all by itself.

I like to play it with a few Istanbul K's that I have, but while mixed in with that group I find that from time to time I need to keep reminding myself that what I'm playing on isn't a K. It sounds right at home played next to the old Turkish bronze, that's for sure. So I guess you might say that "it blurs the lines" between A. vs. K. in a way that very few others I've ever heard can. You see, I bought it from some vintage cymbal-crazy guy at the Chicago show. Nice dude too.

Buy that cymbal is the bomb for sure. I feel very blessed to have it. After decades of searching I can say that now finally I have the best 26" for me. I'll have to be sure to tell that guy next time I see him just how much I like it; maybe at the next drum show.

But that cymbal is much more than just another cymbal; it's more like force of nature.

Man, this guy's 22" block stamp sure is better than most:

Bill, I know this is an old thread, but would mind posting some pictures or a video of your 26?

Yeah, this sort of peeked my curiosity as well. Pretty please with sugar on top? :)
