It's a cool kit, but everything donndrum sells is overpriced. Just my opinion! Granted, you have a matching Jazz Festival, which certainly increases the price...and...it was owned by Bun E. Still, in today's economy, I'm not sure that the kit would even sell for over $2500. On the flip side, it only takes one interested buyer that just has to have it!

Good luck to the seller with that starting bid-only if someone has the need and very deep pockets will this ever happen. Will be interesting to see how much the price will drop over time and it will.

Even without extra holes that's really high. But man is it pretty.

I think most of that value would be tied up in the jazzfest. If an OBP jazzfest is worth $4k (and people do pay that much) then what is a MUCH rarer mod orange one worth?

Too rich for my blood, but if I were a very weathly collector I'd probably spring that much for these just to get the snare drum.

I have a 1969 mod orange set just like that one, bought a jazzfest re-wrapped in original mod orange some years ago, found a matching 1970 canister throne and a year ago lucked on to a matching 1968 14x14. I'm a very happy camper!
