Most of us have seen the Yamaha cymbals with the Zildjian 1980s font. I just discovered these

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-by-Zildjian-Hi-Hats-High-Hats-14-Drum-Cymbal-Symbol-Set-Rare-YDZ14H-/180991126145?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a23e96a81&nma=true&si=4bJ19ayX4ROymz89YHzla8MnldU%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

which confirmed (our) suspicions. This was one of several auctions offering parts of a set of these.

Now most will dismiss this entirely, but I would like to see what guesses we get as to the quality of these (and the composition). My suspicion (though not my desire) is that these are made as budget line cymbals for Yammy kits - pretty much the same (composition) as the beautiful Planet Z cymbals, which do not sound like they look! Awful quality! OR another possibility is that they are re-labeled ZBTs.

It sure would be nice to have a Zildjian rep stop in here and give the official word.
