Yamaha Blue Willow resurrection

In an effort to slow down and take my time (and pictures) on a project, I'm starting this thread. I picked up what I believe is a later DT-225 a couple months ago that is in need of some serious TLC. Came with a chrome snare, 12,13,16 and 20" drums. Wrap is faded, dirty and dull, and the chrome is pitted severely. I picked up a donor bass drum for the lugs already, and some later Tour lugs (same style, just with the clip instead of the spring), and just today got the matching snare off Goodwill. This will be a work in progress as I'm in the middle of moving, but here are a few pictures. Stay tuned!

Side by side of the snare and the 13" tom that I've already stipped and started wet sanding. I don't know how much more I should sand on it. It's a lot better that it was. Before pics are at work. The white was dull brown!! I circled where I was working the wrap, but you can see the difference between the snare and how vibrant it is (I haven't cleaned it up yet) and the tom. More to come

Wow, you have your work cut out for you, but that finish looks great where you worked on it. Good luck!
