WTB: Wing Screw for '72 Premier Floor Tom Bracket

Loading...

I'm searching for (1) wing-screw used to secure the leg in the bracket, for a 1972 Premier 14" FT. I have a handful of other wing-screws, but none match the thread pattern. I'm guessing these are metric and/or possibly the threads are cut in a unique way for Premier?

I have a potential buyer for the kit I'm trying to sell in the for-sale section of VDF, and I would really like to make sure the kit is 100% playable for the new owner. I am happy to buy a full bracket assembly if necessary, to get the wing screw.

Thanks in advance!

Greetings - Buckie_B here!

I believe I have a 70's Premier bass drum tom mount casting stashed away with that exact wingscrew in it. I'll look in the closet tomorrow morning and see what I find. I'll send you a PM tomorrow to let you know what I find, so clear out your jammed up Personal Box on the site because it's not able to receive messages! Help2

Many thanks for the reply! Sorry about the inbox being full... taken care of! I have been in touch with Mike at Blenheim Drums in the UK and he has the wing-bolt. I am trying to work out payment/shipping to the US, so if all goes smoothly I should be in business. I hope you didn't go to too much trouble digging around in your closet! Your bass drum mounts may be different than mine, but none of the screws present appear to work in the floor tom mount. Gotta love all the little things that make each drum kit different! Thanks again!

You've chosen well. Always a good idea to go to a source of expertise in the manufacturer's home country. All the best!
