WTB: Slingerland or Ludwig "Suitcase" snare case

Loading...

They're everywhere 'till I "Need" one.

Does anyone have one of the old suitcase style snare drum cases?

You know, the ones with the partition inside to keep the stand from bashing in to the drum?

Ludwig is preferable, only because the hinge folds in to the stand compartment, rather than rubbing on the drum (At least the ones I have are like this) but not really a deciding factor.

Thanks!!

Thank you Longjohn!

I did see that..and do have an eye on it. The $0.99 opening bid is quite appealing. the 52 bucks the guy wants for shipping though....

Eh..it all comes out in the end.

I think I am hoping someone has a decent to great one here they are willing to ship for...I dunno...under 50 bucks.

Know the feeling... that would be 120 shipping to down here...

May be worth looking at a package deal.. I paid round 95US for one of these Festival snares...you could move it on.. Plus you get a dinner gong & Presley sticks?

Cheers

From Richie

I think I am hoping someone has a decent to great one here they are willing to ship for...I dunno...under 50 bucks.

Out of curiosity, I ran the numbers for FedEx Ground on a 22 x 22 x 12

15 lb package from central Ohio to Abington Ma.

Home delivery was $31.67. I don't know that you'll find anyone to

pack & ship a good-to-great example for a net return of less than

$20.00 (depending on where they're shipping from). Actual shipping

costs on items like this are turning into deal killers for both the buyer

and the seller.

Periodically, these turn up on Craigslist or at Music Go Round - that

might be your best bet.

Good luck with your search,

MW

Thanks for checking on that MW!

I'm sure something will turn up eventually. Like I say, I see them everywhere until I actually "Need" one!
